2024 Demo Reel

It’s been a journey from Oakland to San Francisco since my last demo reel in 2017. While that reel predominantly showcased my proficiency in After Effects and Premier, I’ve since expanded my toolkit to include Blender. Learning Blender has not only opened up new creative avenues, but has also sort of allowed me to elevate my projects to new heights of visual storytelling and motion graphics. Radical! This was the logo design for Creepystore dot net, it borrows influence from 80’s Madballs toys and 60’s-70’s monster movie posters.

La Casaca de Chewbacca

La Casaca de Chewbacca – music video project for Los Descuajeringados del Norte, a parallel music project to Los Huaycos. Made in Blender 2.90 with downloaded 3D assets.

The goal was to quickly make a fully 3D animated video, so no raytracing, this is all rendered in the ‘realtime’ rendering engine, Eevee.

That is not a Wookie model, it’s a human model but with added hair particles.

Rock the Ship – Eli’s After Party – Promo…

This is and Instagram promo video for the Pirates Press ‘Rock the Ship’ after-party at Eli’s Mile High Club, Saturday, October 19, 9:30pm with KICKER, Roadside Bombs, The Vicius Cycles and a secret special guest.

Original flyer backdrop illustration by Tim Armstrong, song is ‘Wankers on The Bus’ by Kicker. I used the art as backdrop and animated it in After Effects, the text I cut out by hand from the flier and did stop motion with greenscreen, did the voiceover too.

Tankcrimes Takeover of 924 Gilman promo video

Motion graphics / editing project / audio: Promotional Video for show coming up next week, February 13th 2015 in Berkeley at 924 Gilman with Ghoul, The Shrine, Born/Dead, Brainoil and Connoisseur.

I did all the voiceover / audio on this project as well which is somewhat different for me. I had to do this one super quick since the show is coming up so soon. It was fun animating the skull sync up with the dialogue!
